6.1.3 Changing Oil Filter
z With fitted torsion lock:
Loosen screws and slide clamps down-
wards.
z Undo the filter cartridge with commercial tool
and spin off.
z Catch any dripping oil.
z Clean any dirt from the filter carrier rim.
z Lightly oil the rubber gasket of the new oil
filter cartridge.
z Screw in the new cartridge finger tight
against the gasket.
z Check that the cartridge is correctly seated
against the gasket and tighten with a final
half-turn.
z If a torsion lock is fitted:
Slide clamps up into position and tighten
screws.
z Check oil level (see 6.1.2).
z Check oil pressure (see 3.3.1).
z Check cartridge seal.
Beware of burns from hot oil.
