USPENSION/STEERING
● Tighten the oil level plug [1] and oil filter plug [2] to the specified
torque.
Differential Gear Oil Replacement
● Place the vehicle on level ground.
● Remove the front under protector.
● Place an oil pan below the differential gear case.
● Drain oil by removing the oil drain plug [3], oil filter plug [2] and
oil level plug [1].
● Tighten the oil drain plug [3] to the specified torque and pour
fresh oil through the oil filter hole until it overflows from the oil
level hole.
● Tighten the oil level plug [1] and oil filter plug [2] to the specified
torque.
● Install the front under protector.
Differential Gear Oil Specification:
Hypoid gear oil SAE#80, API grade GL-5
Torque –
Front differential gear oil level plug :
9 N-m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.5 ft-lb)
Front differential gear oil drain plug :
32 N-m (3.2 kgf-m, 23.0 ft-lb)
Front differential gear oil filler plug :
35 N-m (3.5 kgf-m, 25.5 ft-lb)
Rear Driver Gear Oil Inspection
● Place the vehicle on level ground.
● Remove the oil level plug [1] and oil filler plug [2], and inspect
the oil level. If the oil level is below the level hole, add fresh oil
until oil flows from the level hole.
● Tighten the oil level plug [1] and oil filter plug [2] to the specified
torque.
Rear Driver Gear Oil Replacement
● Place the vehicle on level ground.
● Remove the rear under protector.
● Place an oil pan below the differential gear case.
NOTE
○ Inspect every 2,000 km ( 100 hours, 6 months). Replace every
year.
