Output Queues
When the AS/400 has completed processing a job, the results or output of the job are stored
in areas known as output queues. An output queue can be a device such as a printer. All jobs
that run on an AS/400 have an output queue assigned.
Warning: Exercise extreme care when making changes to output queues. Changes
directly impact the availability of processing output and mistakes can lead to
disastrous results.
Steps:
1. Type "WRKOUTQ" on the command line and press the F4 (PROMPT) key
or ENTER

• From Main Menu, select Option 3
• From General Systems Tasks, select Option 8
• From Device Operations, select Option 3
• From Printer, select Option 5
• From Work with Output Queue, accept default of "*ALL"
