Electronic Customer Support (ECS)
The AS/400 provides the capability of electronic customer support. This feature enables
interaction with systems at IBM and DMS Systems Corp. for software updates and upgrades as
well as provide remote support when circumstances dictate.
DMS Systems Corp. uses a program called Bug Busters to enable support personnel to sign
onto your system remotely and work as if they were located at your place of business. This
program is initially set up at system installation and normally will not be changed unless
advised by DMS Systems.
IBM uses electronic customer support to distribute system upgrades and updates directly to
your AS/400 upon request from you.
