leave this feature on –see warning below.
5.4.f Simulation
The simulation screen can be used for demonstration and training purposes. Enter a value to indicate the
level of optical change desired and enable the simulation mode. Return to the analysis screen to begin
simulation. Simulation mode remains active until disabled, shutdown, or loss of power. Simulation mode
is disabled upon power off of the CLPX.
5.4.g Passwords
The password screen displays the passwords entered in the system and allows them to be edited. To change
a password scroll to the desired password location and press enter. Enter the new password and save it to
update the list. Up to 14 passwords may be entered into the system.
5.4.h Factory Meuu
The Factory Menu is available only to trained service personnel and is password protected. Contact DOD
for more information.
5.4.i Software Update (Version 12.3 and higher)
The software update selection allows new CLPX software to be installed into the system. Contact DOD
Technologies regarding the latest version of software and instructions on how to install correctly.
WARNING : The automatic shutdown feature of the CLPX during low voltage
situations is important to protect the unit. Disabling this feature or changing the
recommended voltage level may result in loss of internal configuration, corruption of
the MicroSD card and/or corruption of all internal memory.
WARNING : When simulation mode is enabled the system will not detect gas
although the screen may indicate a concentration. The word ‘Simulation’ will appear
on the analysis screen above the concentration.

more information. Improper use of the software update selection may result in loss of
