bulb blower will provide a good puff of air to remove dust. Avoid the use of a photographic blower
brush which may snag and leave brush hair in the mechanism. If compressed air is used, use only
clean, dry air at a maximum pressure of 30 psi. Never use shop air which may contain oil or other
contaminants. Canned compressed air for photographic or electronic cleaning is recommended
when used in accordance with the product If a spray solvent cleaner is required, use only a residue
free cleaner such as an aerosol contact and circuit board cleaner. Follow the manufacturer’s
instructions for proper use of the cleaner.
6.2.c Cleaning the Exterior
Clean the outside of the CLPX monitor with a damp cloth. Keep the tape door closed and avoid
excessive water. To remove oily or sticky deposits, use a mild detergent solution on the cloth.
6.2.d Cleaning the Interior
For routine cleaning, carefully wipe the inside of the cassette chamber but avoid contact with the tape
gate, the sample input path, and the optic block. Cleaning the tape gate, the sample input path, and the
optic block are described below.
6.2.e Cleaning the Gate
When a sample is being taken, the paper tape is held in place by the tape gate. When the sample is
complete, the gate opens and the tape advances a new segment of tape into position for the next test.
Paper dust from the tape may accumulate in the tape gate area. To clean the tape gate area, use a rubber
bulb blower or clean pressurized air
