Assembly and preparation
2 Turn the disposable handle clockwise (C) until
it can be felt to engage.
3 Check that the disposable handle is securely
attached. To do this, hold the disposable
handle by the recessed grips and turn it
counterclockwise.

Preparing the display
Preconfigured profiles which contain predefined
video parameters are available for medical
displays. These video parameters have been
developed for use with an HD camera.
– Profile for an HD camera: DM-HD (video signal
at the display (video input): HD-SDI)
For operation, observe the instructions for use
for the display.
Sterilize the sterilizable handle before each
use, see the supplement to the instructions for
use concerning reprocessing of Polaris.
Maximum load on the display mount
The maximum load on the arm system and the
display mount differs depending on the version
and configuration of the components.
When fitting a display and its accessories, the
maximum load on the display mount must be
calculated.
With any change in the loading of the
accessories, the maximum load on the display
mount must be checked.
Calculating the maximum load on the display
mount
Specifications:
– The dead weight of the single display mount is
5.5 kg (including handle and accessory box).
– The dead weight of the double display mount is
11 kg (including handle and accessory box).

WARNING
Risk of patient injury
The disposable handle can fall down into the
operating field if it is not engaged properly.
The disposable handle must be checked for
secure attachment after it has been fitted to
the inner handle.

display by carefully reading the instructions
for use from the display manufacturer.
