To prepare sewing unit and transport clamps:
1. Place material below the transport clamps.
2. Open the menu Service > Machine test and press the button
Align light barriers .
Close flap clamp and folding plates.
Transport clamps are lowered.
3. Swing the folding station (3) out.
4. Pull the transport clamps to the front.
5. Align the light barriers with the middle of the reflecting foils (2).
The range from seam beginning to seam end must be checked on
the clamp.
• Orange LED on: Reflection present
• Orange LED off: reflection not present
• Orange LED flashes: weak signal, re-align light barriers or replace
reflecting foils
• Green LED on: Switching signal stable
• Green LED off: Clean, readjust, or replace the light barrier or
replace the reflecting foil
6. Apply the reflecting foils (2) on the left and the right along the entire
length.
7. Slide the transport clamps back until they are positioned at the center
below the light barriers.
8. Loosen the screws (1).
9. Align the light barriers on the reflecting foils (2).
10. Tighten the screws (1).
11. Slide the transport clamps to the rear and to the front position and
check the alignment of the light barriers.
