1. Remove the five retaining capscrews from the
input shaft bearing cover.
2. Place two pry bars under the input shaft bearing
cover by using the existing slots.
3. By forcing the pry bars, remove the input shaft
bearing cover.
4. Remove the oil baffle.
5. If necessary, remove oil seal.
6. NOTE: When disassembling the
transmission, remove the capscrew that
attach the front housing from inside it to the
intermediate housing (see “Front Section
Disassembly”).
