5. Operaon
WARNING: HIGH FILAMENT TEMPERATURE
Risk of injury or damag
e to equipment. Do not use the gauge to measure the
pressure of explosive or ammable gases or mixtures. The gauge has a heated
lament which operates approximately at 100 °C. The temperature of the lament
can be higher in fault condions.
WARNING: OVER-PRESSURISE
Risk of injury or damag
e to equipment. When you measure the pressure of gases of
high molecular weight, the pressure indicated can be below the true pressure. Make
sure that the gauge is not over-pressurised when using heavy gases.
5.1 LED indicator
When the gaug
e is connected to a power supply the LED indicator will illuminate and
ash red for approximately 5 seconds while the gauge is inialising. The LED indicator
indicates the gauge status:
green if the gauge is operang normally
red if an error is detected. Refer to Fault nding on page 39.
Normal operaon
During normal operaon, the LED indicator pulses to provide an approximate indicaon
of the measured pressure.

The pulsing operaon (lo
w intensity/high intensity) is switched on by default but can be
disabled (refer to Pulsed LED indicator on/o on page 34). If pulsing is disabled, the LED
will be green connuously during normal operaon.
Note:
The pulsing funcon enabled/disabled is unaect
ed by power cycling the gauge.
Error indicaon
If an error occurs within the gauge, the LED indicator will illuminate red and ash. Refer
to Fault nding on page 39.
