5.3.3 Closing the housing
CAUTION!
Material damage may arise through improper closing of
the device!
Improper closing of the device may lead to material damage
as a result of cable connections being squashed.
Therefore:
Please ensure that the cable ducts are positioned cor-
rectly when closing the device.
To close, slightly raise the lid on its hinges.

four screws provided (Fig.
22/1).
2. Close the unused cable
glands using the sealing
plugs provided within the
scope of supply.
5.3.4 Verifying assembly and connection
WARNING!
Risk as a result of incorrect assembly and connection
Incorrect assembly and connection of the EK280 may lead
to life-threatening situations.
Therefore:
Assemble and connect the EK280 correctly.
Sealing should solely be carried out by a calibration of-
ficer.
Follow the guidelines of DIN EN 60079-14,
DIN EN 60079-0, the ATEX Product Directive 94/9/EC
as well as the ATEX Operating Directive 1999/92/EC
EN.
