NORMAL PROCEDURES
CAT II APPROACH
APPROACH
− Perform the approach briefing and the Descent/Approach
checklists.
− Set approach speeds.
− Set the RA/BARO Minimums Selector knob to RA and the
CAT II DH minimum on both Display Control Panels.
− Test Radio Altimeter if only one is available.
− Select the same ILS frequency on both MCDU.
NOTE: A minimum distance of 4 NM to the Outer Marker is
recommended for interception and stabilization along the
approach course.
BEFORE LANDING
− Perform the before landing checklist.
− Set the airspeed bug to the approach speed (AP).
− Set the airspeed bug to the Approach Speed and bled off in
such a way that over the threshold the target speed is at
reference speed.
− At 80 ft above the decision height, the EGPWS will call out
“APPROACHING MINIMUMS”.
NOTE: If the RA is set to OFF, there is no EGPWS approach call outs.
− If no visual contact is made upon reaching the decision height
or if any malfunction could not be promptly identified during
approach, a missed approach must be immediately initiated.
