DISPLAY WARNINGS DURING FINAL APPROACH
Discontinue the approach if any of the following warnings occur:
- APPR 1 ONLY displayed on Autopilot Approach Status Annunciator,
- EICAS message APPR 2 NOT AVAIL presented,
- RALT FAIL (cyan),
- RA (amber),
- GS (amber),
- LOC (amber),
- PIT (amber),
- HDG (amber),
- CAS (amber),
- FPA (amber).
Perform a normal MISSED APPROACH Procedure, unless the
approach is continued under visual conditions and the airplane position
and attitude assure a safe landing.
EXCESSIVE DEVIATION WARNING
If warning occurs above 200 ft Radio Altitude:
Monitor the ILS deviation to ensure that the airplane returns to the
center beam. If not recovered up to 200 ft radio altitude:
Discontinue the approach.
If warning occurs below 200 ft Radio Altitude:
Discontinue the approach.
In both cases, perform a normal MISSED APPROACH Procedure,
unless the approach is continued under visual conditions and the
airplane position and attitude assure a safe landing.
ABNORMALITIES
The following abnormalities are deviation from CAT ll ILS tracking
n
ormal range and must be called out:
Excessive LOC or GS deviations.
Airspeed 10 kt higher or 5 kt lower than the Landing Reference
Speed (V
REF 5
).
Roll angle in excess of 25°.
Pitch angle below - 5° or above 5°.
Rate of descent in excess of 1200 ft/min.
