Measuring system
The measuring system consists of a transmitter and two or one sensor sets. The transmitter and
sensor sets are mounted in physically separate locations. They are interconnected by sensor cables.
The measuring system uses a measurement method based on the transit time difference. Here, the
sensors function as sound generators and sound receivers. Depending on the application and version,
the sensors can be arranged for a measurement via 1, 2, 3 or 4 traverses → 8.
The transmitter serves to control the sensor sets, to prepare, process and evaluate the measuring
signals, and to convert the signals to the desired output variable.
