Toinstallafantray:
1. Attachtheanti‐staticwriststrapasdescribedin“AttachingtheElectrostaticDischargeWrist
Strap”onpage 3‐14beforehandlingthefantray.
2. Holdthehandleofthefantraywithonehandandthebottomofthefantraywiththeother
hand.
Youshould
holdthefansothattheSTATUSLEDlabelonthefaceplateisright‐sideup.
3. Lineupthetopandbottomofthefantraywiththeslotguidesonthechassis.
4. Slidethefantrayintothechassisuntilthefaceplateofthetrayisflushwiththeface
oftheS8
chassis.
Ifthereisanystrongresistance,removethefantrayand reinsertit.
5. TightenthetwocaptivescrewstosecurethefantraytotheS8chassis.

Caution: In the following step, ensure that you do not force the fan assembly into place as it may
damage the self-aligning power/control connector in the chassis.
