15.2.2 Panel Mounting
For panel mounting, there is a display unit with a panel mountable front frame available. A
silicon gasket is added on the backside of the display to ensure tightness against the
dashboard. With a proper assembly, the panel mounting achieves IP66 rating.
6107 display unit's panel mounting version:
Epec offers a panel assembly kit that includes all the needed parts for panel mounting. If you do
not use Epec panel assembly kit, make sure that the parts you use for mounting are the correct
type in order to ensure the needed tightness.
The display is mounted on the panel using four M4 screws. The panel assembly kit includes a
bottom plate, four M4x30 screws with rubber (NBR) rings for sealing and four lock nuts and
washer rings.
The dimensions for the attachment hole are described in the picture below. Use the bottom
plate included in panel assembly kit underneath the dashboard for supporting tight assembly on
thinner materials. The IP class for the panel mounting is IP66 when using the panel assembly
kit.
