Moving or Transporting the Printer
Follow the instructions in these sections to prepare and move the printer, and set it back up after moving
it. When transporting the printer, protect it from shock and vibration by packing it using the packing
materials it came with.
If the printer will be in transit and out of use for longer than two weeks, you should also prepare the
printer for storage. See the link below.
Caution:
• Leave the ink supply units (ink packs) installed, or the nozzles may clog or ink may leak.
• Do not tilt the printer, stand it on its side, or turn it upside down or ink may leak.
• Do not attempt to carry the printer on your own. The printer should be packed and moved by four
people.
• When lifting the printer, make sure you use the correct lifting posture. All four people should lift the
printer at the same time or the printer may tip over and cause an injury.
• When moving the printer, do not tilt it more than 10°.
