6. Rotate the height adjustment lever to set the scale to 8.
7. Select Done, and then select Start on the next screen.
The platen moves into the printer.
8. Do one of the following:
• If a message about the media surface height or movable base appears, you need to adjust the
spacers. Go to the next step.
• If no message appears on the LCD screen, go to step 10.
9. Change the spacer combination you are using according to the tables below:
When using a standard or hanger platen:
Media thickness* Spacers
0.24 to 0.47 inch (6 to 12 mm) Attach to A only
0.47 to 0.63 inch (12 to 16 mm) Attach to B only
