2. As soon as the pump unit has been connected, the ERBEJET prompts you to prime
the pump unit and applicator with separating medium.
Connecting the separating medium
1. Allow the separating medium to run to the end of the infusion tube.
Unsuitable separating medium
The use of an unsuitable separating medium can change the effect
of the water jet. Risk of injury to the patient.
Only use sterile, physiological saline solutions.
Non-sterile separating medium
The patient can be infected by the use of a non-sterile separating
medium.
Only use sterile, physiological saline solutions.
Non-sterile infusion set
The patient may become infected if a non-sterile infusion set is
used.
Use aseptic techniques when connecting the infusion set to a
bottle or a bag of separating medium.
Use aseptic techniques when connecting the infusion set to the
pump cartridge.
