6.5.1 Operating at a Setpoint (Static Mode)
When not in the profile mode (the Profile Indicator Light is off), the controller may be operated in static
mode by using the navigation keys to select and adjust the set points. The set points are displayed in the
Lower Display. SP1 controls temperature, the Upper Display always shows the actual temperature in the
chamber. SP2 controls humidity, the Lower Display shows actual humidity in the chamber (BTL and BTX
only).
6.5.2 Running a Ramp/Soak Profile (Profile Mode)
To initiate the profile mode, press the Profile Key and answer the questions that follow.
While running a profile, the Profile Status message on the lower display will keep you informed about the
progress of the profile.
6.5.3 Monitoring the Operation
While the chamber and controller are running either a single setpoint or a program, key parameters may be
viewed in the lower display. Use the arrow keys to scroll through the information available in the lower
display.
6.5.4 Enabling Humidity Mode (Events)
The Watlow F4 controller has programmable time signals (Digital Outputs) that are used to activate
chamber functions.
(Digital Output 1) TS1: Enables customer use time signal
(Digital Output 8) TS8: Enables humidity conditioning (BTL and BTX models only)
Both of these outputs can be manually turned on and off while in Static Set Point Control. They can
also be turned on and off automatically if programmed in a Profile routine.
