Operation
6.4 Operating the Test Chamber
The controller has password security protection, thereby decreasing the likelihood of inadvertently chang-
ing the factory set-up configurations of the controller. Consideration in changing this password or changing
the factory set-up configurations of the controller will require calling the ESPEC field service department.
6.4.1 Fault Indicator Light
When power is first applied to the chamber, this indicator will be on and the fault reset switch must be
pressed to reset it. During operation, if this light turns on, a fault has occurred and the chamber is turned
off. The following alarms will turn on the fault indicator light:
Blown thermal fuse, tripped OHP, tripped circulator motor thermal fuse.
Optional devices: humidity thermal switch, tripped OCP.
6.4.2 Fault Reset Switch
This switch is used to reset a fault on the chamber. If the red fault indicator light is on, press the fault reset
switch to turn it off after the faulted device has been reset. When the fault indicator light is off, the chamber
can be placed in the run mode.
6.4.3 Run Switch
This switch is used to run the chamber. When the switch is turned on, the circulator fan is turned on and
the heater and refrigerator circuits are enabled and controlled through the Watlow F4 controller. When the
switch is turned off, the circulator fan, heaters, and refrigeration circuits are all turned off.
Note: If a fault occurs when the chamber is in the run mode, and the fault reset switch is
pressed, the chamber may start running again if the run switch was left in the run
position.
6.4.4 Overheat/Overcool (Optional) Protectors
Set the temperature values of the overheat and overcool protector set point thumb wheels to the
appropriate temperature (that is required for product protection).
