3. Once the event and record and speed are set, you need to activate Instant Recording or
set a time period (TP) in the SCHEDULE SETUP MENU. You can refer to the
SCHEDULE SETUP MENU for time period configurations (Chapter 3.8).
Note:

If you only want to record event activity (motion or alarm) ONLY, set the normal record
speed as 0 IPS in the CAMERA SETUP MENU.

If the recording speed is changed while the machine is recording, the new recording
speed will not take effect until recording is stopped completely.
DVR provides a record function which is triggered by external signal via the 19th pin of the
ALARM INPUT / OUTPUT port. When the record input signal is triggered constantly, DVR
will start to record according to the speeds set on Time Period (TP) N. The system will stop
recording when the record input signal is no longer triggered.
Note: Please check APPENDIX B to see other available alarm input/output details.
