5.9 Lights
Different lighting systems are installed depend-
ing
ontheareaofuseandbicycletype.Ifthisis
done using a daytime running light function, the
system will always switch automatically between
lowbeamanddaytimerunninglight.
FLYER with pedal assist over 25 km/h with
highbeam
Basic setting: when the system is activated, the
low beam/daytime running light is automatically
switchedon.

light remains switched off
Light button functions: Activate the light (high
beam) by pressing the light button; switch to low

Speed sensor
The speed sensor is used to show the speed in
theFLYERD1displayandcorrectlycalculatethe
assistanceneeded.
The speed sensor and the associated spoke magnet
must be fastened so that the distance between the
spoke magnet and the marking position on the speed
sensoris 1to5mm.Ifthedistance isdifferent,an
errormessagewillappear.
Powersupplytoexternaldevices
YoucanusetheUSBporttochargeexternalde-
vices,
e.g.smartphones,thatcanbepoweredvia
USB. The charging cable of the device can be
connected directly to the FLYER D1 display, as
ithas aUSBtypeAport.Therefore,there isno
needforanadaptercable.
Inordertochargeexternaldevices,yourFLYER
e-bikemustcontainachargedFLYERbattery.
Open the cover of the USB port on the display
andconnectthedevice’schargingcabletoit.
• Do not place the connected device on
a tilted or unstable place while charg
-
ing.
Otherwise, it could fall and be-
come
damaged.
• Do not charge external devices in
rainyweatherorconnectawetUSB
cable.TheUSBconnectionisnotwa
