21.3 Connecting your smart
device via Wi-Fi
1. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your smart device and
select your product’s Wi-Fi Name / SSID from the
list of available networks.
2. Enter your product’s Wi-Fi Passphrase.
3. Your device will now connect to the unit and
obtain an IP address.
4. The network status will change to Connected.
Accessing a product’s web interface
With a PC or laptop connected to your MFD via
Wi-Fi, you can access the built-in web interface
of certain products (e.g. AX8). Depending on the
device and web browser application used, it may
also be possible to access the web interface using a
connected smart device.
With your PC or laptop connected to your MFD:
1. Obtain the product’s IP address.
For Raymarine products the IP address is
displayed on the diagnostics page, accessed by
selecting the relevant device from the MFD’s
Diagnostics menu: (Homescreen > Set-up >
Maintenance > Diagnostics > Select Device).
2. Open the web browser on your smart device
and enter the IP address in the address bar and
select Enter / Go.
3. Login to the web interface.
The username and password can be found in the
documentation that accompanied the product.
Tip If the web interface is not displayed or is
displayed incorrectly, try using a different web
browser.
