26.2 GRIB Viewer compatibility
The GRIB viewer can be used to play compatible
third party GRIB les which adhere to the following
data/formats:
GRIB-1 format
WE:NS and WE:SN latitude-longitude grids
Wind 10 metres above surface
Temperature 2 metres above surface
Surface temperature (Sea surface temperature)
Pressure reduced to Main Sea Level
Total accumulated precipitation
Precipitation rate
Tidal stream (Speed/direction of current)
Combined Wind Waves and Swell, Wind Waves
and Swell wave data
26.3 Logging in
The GRIB Viewer can be logged in to the
LightHouse
Chart Store which will enable In-App
GRIB le downloads.
Your MFD requires an internet connection to enable
log in, refer to
Chapter 21 Wi-Fi and Mobile
applications
for details on connecting your MFD to
the internet.
1. Select the GRIB Viewer icon from the
Homescreen.
when the GRIB Viewer is opened, if you do
not have an internet connection, then you will
be requested to connect to the internet. Once
the connection is established the log in page is
displayed.
2. From the Log in page you can either: Log in or
Start Trial.
i. To Log in, enter your LightHouse
Chart
Store log in details and select Log in, or
ii. Select Start Trial and enter your E-Mail
address to commence a free 30 day trial.
Once you have logged in the Data Type Icons
are displayed:
