What to do if my FUHR lock does not lock completely?
    • S
      sally05Jul 26, 2025
If your FUHR lock isn't locking completely, try the following: First, open the lock using the cylinder key. Check the door installation and adjust if necessary. Readjust the keeps to regulate the contact pressure. Ensure all keeps are freely accessible and correctly positioned. Also, make sure that a non-restricted FZG free-running profile cylinder is installed, as locks with a gear mechanism require this type of cylinder.

Why doesn't my FUHR lock lock?
    • J
      Jeremiah WilsonJul 30, 2025
There are several reasons why your FUHR lock might not be locking. It could be due to the reed switch not triggering, potentially because the magnet is out of range. Try readjusting the magnet and/or the door, and check the clearance. Also, ensure that the day latch or permanently-open function is deactivated. Another cause could be a short circuit in the power connection between the electronic drive unit and the control unit, or the power supply of the mains adapter is insufficient. In this case, verify the correct polarity of the spring-loaded tappet contacts. Connect the cable properly to the green multi-functional jack and check the output voltage of the mains adapter (12 V DC).

How to open FUHR lock if the door cannot be opened by the radio key?
    • B
      Bonnie MillsAug 2, 2025
If you cannot open the door with your FUHR lock using the radio key, the radio key may not be tuned in. Try tuning it in again. Also, the distance to the receiver might be too large, so hold the radio key closer to the door. If the batteries in the radio key are weak, replace them. Finally, ensure the correct connection to the control or to the motor drive.

What to do if FUHR Door locks cannot be opened by radio key?
    • L
      Lori ThorntonAug 8, 2025
If your FUHR Door lock doesn't open using the radio key or an external impulse, first, try tuning in the radio key. If that doesn't work, reduce the distance to the receiver by holding the radio key closer to the door. Also, check the batteries in the radio key and replace them if they are weak. Finally, the control software might be blocked, so try resetting the control by switching the power supply off and then on again.

Why won't my FUHR Door locks lock or unlock?
    • J
      Jesus RobinsonAug 12, 2025
If your FUHR Door lock isn't locking or unlocking, examine the data connection between the electronic drive unit and the control unit, ensuring the spring-loaded tappet contacts are correctly poled, paying attention to the +/- markings. Next, inspect all cables and plug-and-socket connections for any damage. Lastly, if the tappet contacts and contact surfaces lack contact, lubricate the contact surfaces.

How to fix FUHR Door locks that don't lock completely?
    • L
      lindariveraAug 16, 2025
If your FUHR Door lock isn't locking completely, you should first check the door installation and adjust it if the door is warped. Then, readjust or loosen the keeps if they have been adjusted too tightly. Ensure all keeps are freely accessible, as the locking bolts may be obstructed. Finally, verify that a non-restricted profile cylinder has been installed instead of a profile cylinder without a free-running mechanism.
