Indicators on the device
The indicators are on the front of the casing. Which indicators are available on yo ur
device depends on the configuration level you have selected.

1 Drive indicat ors
The indicator li
ghts u p when the C D-ROM or D VD drive of the
device is acces
sed. You m ust never under any circumstances
remove the CD/D
VD while the indicator is lit.

Indicator for optional
components, e.g .
SmartCard reader
The indicator
lights up when optional compo nents, e.g. the
SmartCard rea
der, are accessed.
3 Power-on indicator
Caution:In energy saving mode, th e device m ust not be
disconnected from the m ains supply a s this can cause loss of data.
• The indicator is illuminated:
The device is sw itched on.
• The indicator is flashing:
The device is in energy-saving mode. After being switche d on
with the O N /O FF switch, the device powers up or returns to the
state it was in be fore it entered energy-saving mode.
• The indicator is not illuminated:
The device is switched off (disco nnected from the mains) or is
ready to operate. If the device is ready to op erate, it can be
switched on with the ON/OFF switch.
4 Hard disk indicator The indicator lights up w hen the hard disk drive in the device
is being accessed.

USB Security
• The indicator is illuminated:
The device is sw itched on.
• The indicator is flashing:
An unauthorised USB access takes place on the device.
