Remove card h old er
To be able later to connect the cables of the hard drive at the mainboard,
you must remove the card holder.

► Press the catch of the card holder in the direction of the arrow (1) so
that it releases from th e location.
► Fold the c ard holder upwards to the stop.
► U nhinge the card holder from the casing (2).
► R emove the card holder from the casing.
Change the installation kit (for upgrading from 4 to 8 drives)
• Requirements:
There are not any hard disk drives installed in the drive bays.
Otherwise you must first remove the hard disk drives.
• The casing is open (see "
Opening the casing", Page 33).
If yo u wish to use an installation kit for your hard disks which is other than that which
was installed in your device in the factory, proceed as follow s:

► If any hard disk drives are already installed, remove them (see "
Removing a hard disk", Page 57).
► If necessary, disconne ct the drive cables from the installation kit:
Press the catch to unlock it and press the cable retainer ba ckwards out of the opening.
