SIM card
A SIM Card (Subscriber Identity Mod ule) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile telephone or
notebook to enable access to a m obile radio network in conjunction w ith an installed UMTS module.
Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
The SIM card slot is located in the battery compartment and can on ly
be accessed when the battery is removed.
Inserting the SIM card
► Prepare for insertion of the SIM card, see chapter "Preparing to remove components", Page 64.
► If necessary, open the clip (a) of the SI M c ard.
► Slide the SIM c ard into the slot (1)
until it engages, as shown in the
battery compartment.
► Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (2).
► Complete the insertion, see chapter "
Finishing component removal", Page 70.
Removing a SIM card
► Prepare for removal of the SIM card , see chapter "Preparing to rem ove com ponents", Pag e 64.
► Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (1).
► Press on the edge of the SIM card so tha t
it jumps up s lightly out of the slot.
► Pull the SIM card out of the slot in the
direction of the arrow (2).
► Complete the removal, see chapter "
