Item Description
Glove: Select this mode if you are using the
touchscreen while wearing thick gloves (referring
to warm gloves or work gloves, not referring to
touchscreen-capable gloves). In this mode, the
touchscreen sensitivity will be enhanced in order
to pick up lighter touches.
Barcode
Turn off
barcode scanner
To set an inactivity timeout after which the barcode
scanner turns off its power. The barcode scanner will
turn on again when next accessed. If you want to
keep the barcode scanner always on, select Never.
Dock
Antenna
To set if you want to use the external antenna of the
dock (when connected). You can also enable the
auto switch function.
NFC
NFC reader
To read information from NFC tags. (See “NFC
Reader (Select Models Only)” in Chapter 4 for
detailed information.)
Battery Charging Mode
Standard/
Balanced/
Temperature
protection
mode
To select the charging mode. Options are:
Standard mode: The battery will be fully charged.
Balanced mode: This mode helps prolong battery
life by charging only up to 80% of its total capacity
It is highly recommended if you are using AC
power most of the time.
Temperature protection mode: The battery will be
charged to a certain capacity according to the
ambient temperature. Select this mode if the device
is operating on battery power for long periods of
time in a high temperature environment.
Besides configuring settings for specific components, you can also view
device information in Getac Settings, such as sensor status, certain hardware
and firmware information, etc.
