OPERATION
2.1 OPERATING PROCEDURE
Check the following:
The PS200 instrument is clean and in good condition.
The internal battery is fully charged.
The hydrophobic and inlet filters are clean and in good
condition.
The sample line (pumped instruments) and any other
accessories used are in good condition and leak-free.
All gas ranges are operational and the instrument is
zeroed.
The instrument is within the calibration period you
have decided is necessary for your application.
Each time the instrument is used, carry out the following
procedure:
CAUTION: The GMI PS200 instrument can be supplied
with a flammable gas sensor. This sensor is
designed for use in concentrations of gas not
exceeding the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL).
Exposing the sensor to high concentrations of
flammable gas above the LEL can cause
damage to the sensor and inhibit its proper
operation. The GMI PS200 has an inbuilt safety
alarm feature to prevent this. Refer to ALARMS
section of this handbook for details.
