Latching: If audible alarm has been muted and if gas
concentration during that time falls below alarm set point,
visual alarm requires to be acknowledged to clear.
4.4 HIGH FLAMMABLE GAS OVER-RANGE ALARM
Caution: Exposing the LEL sensor to concentrations of
flammable gas above 100% LEL can damage
the sensor.
In order to protect the user from danger in the event of the
flammable gas (LEL) sensor being over exposed to a high
concentration of flammable gas, the instrument has an over-
range alarm.
If the LEL sensor is exposed to a gas reading above 120%
LEL, the instrument vibrates, the displayed value changes to
4 rising arrows, the backlight illuminates red, the tone of the
audible alarm changes, and the visual alarm LED’s flash
quickly. The flashing message ‘DANGER OVER RANGE’
is displayed, as shown in Fig 4-3:
