9. CH 2: Y Accuracy
The accuracy reading should always be performed in the
following way:
– Set the square wave bottom on a horizontal graticule line and
read the height in the top position in the screen centre.
– Calculate the deviation in respect to the specifi cations.
(5% error of 5 div. (50 mm) height means that the acceptance
range is from 47.5 mm to 52.5 mm; 3% means ±1.5 mm)
9.1 CH2 – 1 mV/div (5% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 1 mV/div.
– Connect a 5 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.2 CH2 – 2 mV/div (5% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 2 mV/div.
– Connect a 10 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.3 CH2 – 5 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 5 mV/div.
– Connect a 25 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.4 CH2 – 10 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 10 mV/div.
– Connect a 50 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.5 CH2 – 20 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 20 mV/div.
– Connect a 100 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.6 CH2 – 50 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 50 mV/div.
– Connect a 250 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.7 CH2 – 200 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 100 mV/div.
– Connect a 500 mVpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.8 CH2 – 200 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 1 to 200 mV/div.
– Connect a 2 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.2%), 2 kHz square wave signal
via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.9 CH2 – 500 mV/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 500 mV/div.
– Connect a 2.5 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.10 CH2 – 1 V/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 1 V/div.
– Connect a 5 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave signal
via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.11 CH2 – 2 V/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 2 V/div.
– Connect a 10 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.12 CH2 – 5 V/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 5 V/div.
– Connect a 25 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 5 div.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
9.13 CH2 – 10 V/div (3% accuracy)
– Set attenuator CH 2 to 10 V/div.
– Connect a 40 Vpp (accuracy ± 0.1%), 1 kHz square wave
signal via 50Ω cable to input CH 2.
– For 0% error the signal height is 4 div. (3% = 1.2 mm).
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to switch over to digital
mode.
– Check that the specifi cation is met too.
– Press ANALOG/DIGITAL key to return to analog mode.
