How To Move The Spring Position
1. Loosen the rigging screw (A) while turning the nuts (B). Before loosening the rigging screw, note the positions of the
nuts and the tension in the spring - this should be the same after moving the spring position.
2. Dismount the upper bolt (shown here in hole position 1) and move the rigging screw to the selected hole 1-2-3.
3. Refit the bolt and tighten the rigging screw. The rigging screw should be plenty tightened - however the spring should
not be stretched out further compared to the tension in the previous position.
Replacement of Spring
1. Adjust the rigging screw (A) while loosening the nuts (B), until there is no more tension in the spring.
2. Dismount the spring.
3. Mount the new spring and refit the rigging screw.
4. Tighten the nuts plenty to the create the same spring tension as before.
Mechanical Adjustment of Guide Rods
After adjusting the springs, the guide rods (A and B) can be moved to another position to make the boom follow the wheel
axle movements even more when driving in the field.
The guide rods are either parallel to each other (1) or angled (2):
1. Parallel: Neutral boom damping - active boom which only partly
follows the wheel axle movements.
2. Angled: Hard boom damping - passive boom which mainly
follows the wheel axle movements.
Adjustment of the guide rods requires two persons, as the boom centre structure needs to be handled to make the guide
rods fit into the other hole positions.
The next picture shows the neutral position of the two guide rods (A and B) located at the top of the boom centre.
