E.13 The IRIG/GPS does not synchronize
l Verify the settings. Is the correct synchronization source selected?
l For IRIG, does the IRIG mode (such as “IRIG B AM”) match the IRIG
signal?
l Check whether the connections are correct. For more information, please
refer to the corresponding chapter.
l GPS synchronization can take a long time. Be patient. You may try
switching back to RTC and starting all over again.
l Check
whether the signal (IRIG) is free of distortions (e.g. record the IRIG
signal and check whether the amplitude-modulated sine wave is clean).
l Check the positioning of the GPS antenna. The GPS synchronization
needs signals from at least three satellites for correct operation. Walls can
distort the signals from the satellites by blocking or reflecting them.
