• Your vehicle's exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas. High levels of carbon
monoxide can collect rapidly in enclosed
areas such as garage. Do not run the engine
with the garage door closed.
CAUTION
!!

This vehicle is equipped with a side stand
engine kill feature (page 22).
•
Never hold electric starter ( ) of integrated
start-kill switch continuously more than 5
seconds as continuous cranking of engine
will discharge the battery.
• Throttle-Check for smooth opening and
closing in all steering positions (page 43).
Always follow the proper starting procedure
described below :
• Side stand-Check for proper functionality
(page 22).
•
Rear brake (Drum type)-Check operation.
Adjust free play, if necessary (page 50).
• Tyres-Check condition and pressure
(page 55).
• Clutch-Check for smooth operation.
Adjust free play if necessary (page 42).
• Drive chain-Check condition and slackness
(page 44). Lubricate if necessary.
• Lamps & Horn-Check that headlamp,
position lamps, tail/stop lamp, turn signal
lamps, indicators and horn function
properly.
• Rear view mirror-Ensure that the rear
view mirror gives a good rear view when you
are sitting on the vehicle.
• Integrated start-kill switch-Check for
proper functionality (page 21).
• Fitting & Fasteners-Check & tighten if
necessary.
• Steering-Check for smooth action and for
easy maneuverability.
STARTING THE ENGINE
•
To protect the catalytic converter in your
vehicle's exhaust system, avoid extended
idling and the use of leaded petrol.
Preparation
Before starting insert the key and follow the
below mentioned procedure :
•
Turn the ignition switch (1) to "ON" ( )
position.
•
Confirm that the programmed FI
malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) (2)
glows continuously and then should go
“OFF” once the engine is started.
