4.4 Maintenance and Repair
The qSCALE i2 operating console contains no wearing parts and therefore cannot be opened. If
differences between actual and displayed measured values occur, switch the device off and have it
checked and, if necessary, repaired immediately by an authorized Hirschmann service partner.
Always keep the full details contained on the type plate on hand.
Clean the surface and the front screen of the device occasionally with a damp cloth and a mild
detergent. Never use abrasive or aggressive detergents as these may damage the device.
IMPORTANT
Device may be damaged by the use of high-pressure cleaners.
The device must not be treated with a high-pressure cleaner or similarly aggressive method
under any circumstances!
Damage to the front foil must be immediately repaired by authorized personnel. If not repaired, the
penetration of moisture and dirt into the interior of the device can occur and damage the device.
Keep the contacts and the area around the device connectors clean and check occasionally that all
connections are secure.
If parts are damaged, they must be properly repaired or replaced immediately.
