Product Description
The qSCALE i2 is the operable interface of the system (referred to below as the “RCL”) and is
used for selecting and entering operating parameters and displaying the current crane operating
and system data.
The RCL detects the readings from different sensors and recognises crane overload statuses de-
pending on different parameters. Visual and audible signals alert the user of the overload status.
This manual describes the operation and functions of the Hirschmann qSCALE i2 overload protec-
tion system.
NOTE
The qSCALE i2 contains several menus where queries and settings can be made only after
entering a password. The description of these functions is not part of this user manual.
The overload protection system consists of the following components:
a qSCALE i2 central control unit with built-in display and operating elements:
a cSCALE DIO CAN I/O extension module:
various sensors for data measurement
The system components are installed in suitable positions onto or inside the crane.
