13. Press the back button to return to the buttery menu.
14. Scroll to highlight the “SPEED” eld and press the jog dial to
activate the menu.
15. Scroll to dene the amount of time (0.0 to 10.0 seconds) for
the buttery mix to fully deploy. Press the jog dial to conrm
your selection
16. Scroll to the “S/W eld and press the jog dial twice to
activate the menu.
17. Scroll to select a switch to activate the buttery mix. Press
the jog dial to conrm your selection.
a. If you choose the “NULL option, the buttery mix will
remain inactive at all times for this model.
b. If you choose a switch:
- The switch position menu will appear.
Scroll to highlight the
switch position that you will use to enable the mix.
Press the jog dial to conrm your selection.
- Scroll to select “ON” and press the jog dial to conrm your
selection. If you toggle the selected switch,
the eld in the top right corner of the screen will indicate
when the mix is active.
18. Scroll to highlight the T.STICK” eld and press the jog dial to
activate the menu.
19. Scroll to select the movement type for the throttle stick.
Press the jog dial to conrm your selection.
B-Fly Glid Only cont.
a. If you choose “LINE” (linear) the mix will be applied
proportionally to throttle position. For fully linear
movement, verify that the throttle position menu shows
the mix to be on at both ends of the throttle range, and the
middle value is “100”.

20. Press the back button four times to return to the model
function menu.
To disable buttery:
1. Scroll to highlight the “MIX” eld in the buttery menu and
press the jog dial to activate the menu.
2. Select “INH” (inhibit) and press the jog dial to conrm your
selection.
3. Press the back button to return to the model function menu.
Gyro
It is often desirable to use a gyro to help stabilize one or more ight axis on xed-wing models. The FLASH
8 provides up to three gyro sensitivity settings per model memory. The gyro setting can also be specied
for each dened ight condition.
The GYRO function must be assigned to a channel before this option will appear in the Model
function menu. See Section 3 for instructions regarding the Channel menu.

Tip
The SPEED value is ignored when linear movement is selected.
b. If you choose “DIV. (divided), the mix will be applied fully
when the throttle position crosses a dened threshold:
- The throttle position menu will appear. Scroll to highlight
the throttle position that you will use to enable the mix.
Press the jog dial to conrm your selection.
- Scroll to select “ON” and press the jog dial to conrm your
selection.
- Scroll to select the middle value eld and press the jog dial
to activate the menu.
- Rotate the jog dial to position the top of the bar graph at
the throttle position where the mix will be enabled.
As you move the throttle stick, the eld in the top right
corner of the screen will indicate when the mix is active.
