Connect with Site
The Connect with Site window displays the status and progress of the dialing routine:
The following sequence of messages is displayed:
⋅Resetting PC Modem - to the configuration determined by the Modem Reset String programmed in the
Connect|Setup option.
⋅Dialing Site - dials the Remote No. in the Enter New Site Data window.
⋅Checking Password - confirms that the Galaxy control panel password matches the password sent from
the Galaxy Gold.
Refer to Appendix A for a full list of Galaxy Gold messages, including communication failures.
When the Successfully connected to site message is displayed, click OK or press ENTER Galaxy Gold
Keypad window changes from the flashing row of asterisks () to the current display of the Galaxy control
panel.
The Galaxy control panel can now be:
⋅Remotely Serviced – using both the mouse and the keypad by users with the Key Entry Attribute
enabled.
⋅Programming copied to the PC – all of the Galaxy programming data can be copied and stored in the
PC under the site name.
⋅Programming overwritten by the PC -the Galaxy control panel programming data can be overwritten by
the data stored in the PC under the site name.
⋅Event Log copied to the PC – the galaxy panel event log can be copied to the PC for viewing and/or
printing.
⋅MicroMAX Log copied to the PC - the Access Doors card log can be copied to the PC for viewing and/or
printing.
