Programming Screens
User Codes
The user codes on a Galaxy 3-144/3-520 panels can have a minimum size set by System Parameter 51.66
Min Pin Size. The user codes screen uses this parameter to make sure the PINs entered are at least this
size.
In order for this to work correctly the System Parameters data will have to be kept up to date.
If the size of the PIN changes to a larger size the smaller PINs aren’t deleted but if you move over them with
a cursor key they will be deleted and you will be prompted to add one of the correct size.
Audible Alert on Copy/Overwrite
There is a new INI file parameter ‘Audible-Alert’ to give an audible alert once copying and overwriting are
complete. If the value is 1 the option is enabled if 0 it is disabled.
Communications Idle Timeout
If the communications are idle (just polling not copying, overwriting, mimicing, RRI etc) Galaxy Gold will
disconnect from the panel. The timeout is taken from the Remote Access Terminate Idle time, it is one minute
less than this. This whole feature can be turned off using the ‘Comms_Idle_Timeout’ INI file parameter. If the
value is 1 the option is enabled if 0 it is disabled.
