Introduction to POST error messages
The error messages and codes in this section include all messages generated by
ProLiant servers. Some messages are informational only and do not indicate an
error. A server generates only the codes that are applicable to its configuration
and options.
The following POST messages are new. For a complete listing of error messages,
refer to the POST messages in the HP ProLiant Servers Troubleshooting Guide
located on the Documentation CD or on the HP website
(http://www.hp.com/support
).
WARNING: To avoid potential problems, ALWAYS read the
warnings and cautionary information in the server documentation
before removing, replacing, reseating, or modifying system
components.
209-Hot-add Memory Configuration - Boards must be installed sequentially
Action: Install or reinstall DIMMs to support hot-add memory configuration.
209-Mirror Memory Configuration - DIMMs on Both Boards do not Match
Audible Beeps: 1 long, 1 short
Possible Cause: Memory boards are not populated identically, or a memory
board is missing.
Action: Be sure four memory boards are installed and DIMMs are populated
correctly.
