7. Disconnect the optical drive cables (2) or the hard drive cables (4) from the system board.
NOTE: To avoid damaging the connector when disconnecting the cable, be sure to pull the
cable straight out of the connector at a vertical (90°) angle.
8. Remove the connector from the computer.
To install the hard drive or optical drive connector, reverse the removal procedures.
