 HPE recommends that you use HPE QSFP+ transceiver modules, QSFP+ DAC cables, or QSFP+ to 4 x
SFP+ DAC cables for the QSFP+ ports on the switch. The HPE QSFP+ transceiver modules, QSFP+ DAC
cables, and QSFP+ to 4 x SFP+ DAC cables available for the interface cards are subject to change over
time. For the most recent list of QSFP+ transceiver modules, QSFP+ DAC cables, and QSFP+ to 4 x SFP+
DAC cables available for the interface cards, contact HPE Support or marketing staff.
 You can use a HP X140 40G QSFP+ MPO SR4 XCVR or HP X140 40G QSFP+ CSR4 300m XCVR
transceiver module to connect a QSFP+ port to four SFP+ ports. The QSFP+ transceiver module and
SFP+ transceiver modules to be connected must be the same in specifications, including central
wavelength and fiber type.

Combo interface
The HPE 5510 24G SFP 4SFP+ HI switch provides eight combo interfaces. A combo interface contains an
SFP port and a 10/100/1000Base-T autosensing Ethernet port. Only one of these two ports can operate
at a time.

The system status LED shows the operating state of the switch.
