6. Disconnect any internal cables that are connected to the expansion board.
7. Release the full-length expansion board retainer.
8. Remove the PCIe riser cage:
• Primary or secondary PCIe riser cage (Removing and replacing the primary or secondary PCIe riser cages)
• Tertiary PCIe riser cage (Removing and replacing the tertiary PCIe riser cage)
9. Remove the expansion board.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Removing and replacing the fan cage
Procedure
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Do one of the following:
•
Extend the server from the rack.
• Remove the server from the rack.
4.
Remove the access panel.
5. Remove the fan cage.
