6. Remove the fan cage (Removing and replacing the fan cage).
7. Disconnect the energy pack cable, and then remove the energy pack.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Procedure
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Do one of the following:
•
Extend the server from the rack.
•
Remove the server from the rack.
4. Remove the access panel.
5. Do one of the following:
•
Removing the air bale.
• Remove the 4LFF midplane cage (Removing and replacing a 4LFF midplane cage).
6. Disconnect the SAS cables.
7. Remove the modular controller.
