Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure make sure that you have a small flat-bladed, nonconductive tool available.
Procedure
1. Power down the server blade.
2. Remove the server blade from the chassis.
3. For 2U server blade,
remove the top cover.
4. Remove all the options installed on the system board.
5. Remove the system board.
6. Locate the battery on the system board.
7. Use a small flat-bladed, nonconductive tool to carefully lift the battery from the socket.
8. Remove the battery.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
