About PA Settings
The PA Settings screen enables you to configure the commonly used settings, such as the following:
• Registration of the arrays with the respective array SVPs
• Email notification for the alarms and reports generation, and the data collection failure
• Configure database size
• Severity level for logging the events, which PA uses to filter events and log only those that match the
set severity level
• Management station date and time to be in sync with the time zone where it resides
• User-friendly names for the arrays (array alias)
• Forecast array performance, and configure real-time database.
IMPORTANT:
You must log on to PA as an administrator or a user with administrator privileges to perform the
above-mentioned tasks. However, the administrator privileges are not required to manage the
custom groups and the fabricated LDEV records.
