To eliminate performance issues in advance, templates can provide an at-a-glance information on the
behavior of critical LDEV components and its metrics. You can also monitor real-time data, plot trend
values for all the charts, and plot forecast lines for metrics to predict behavior for a specified time period.
Search for an LDEV
You can filter and search for an LDEV in the LDEV text box in the filter pane below the banner. Provide
the LDEV ID, for example, 01:94 in the text box, and click Apply. Click Reset to view all the LDEVs in the
master pane.

Filters
Arrays Displays all the arrays that PA monitors.
Status Displays LDEVs of all statuses.
Port Name Displays all the ports configured on the array.
RAID Group Displays all the RGs configured on the array.
Host Group Displays all the host groups configured on the selected array.
MP Blades Name Displays all the processors for the selected array.
Journal Name Displays all the journals configured on the selected array.
LDEV Types Displays all the types of LDEVs.
Master pane details
Status icon Displays the status icon for an individual LDEV. The status for
an LDEV is determined based on the threshold values set on the
Average Read Response Status icon Time and the Average
Write Rest Times metrics. To view, configure or edit threshold
settings for LDEV metrics, see Threshold settings on page
124.
LDEV Displays the identification number of the logical device.
RG Displays the RAID Group to which the LDEV belongs.
Port Name Displays the corresponding port for the selected LDEV.
Hostgroup Displays the corresponding host group for the selected LDEV.
MPB Name Displays the name of the corresponding processor to which the
LDEV is assigned. (applicable to only XP7 and P9500 arrays).
JID Journal Group ID to which an LDEV is assigned.
