Troubleshooting
If your shade is not operating correctly:
Review the digital support guide for your control device.
Refer to the following troubleshooting procedures for specific solutions for your shade.
If questions remain, please contact Hunter Douglas Consumer Support at (800) 789-0331.
Problem
The shade will not snap into the installation brackets.
Solution
Check that the installation brackets are level and aligned. Adjust and/or shim
to level, if necessary.
Check that the headrail is completely inserted into the installation brackets.
See “Mount the Headrail” on page 5 or page “Inside/Ceiling Mount” on
page 10.
Problem
The installation brackets do not allow enough clearance for the shade to
clear moldings or door handle(s).
Solution
With outside mounts, use extension brackets or spacer blocks to allow
adequate clearance for your shade. See “Outside Mount” on page 6.
With inside mounts, reposition the installation brackets to add clearance. See
“Inside/Ceiling Mount” on page 10.
Problem
The shade does not operate using the control button.
Solution
Unplug the power cable from the motor, then plug it back in. The LED inside
the control button housing will flash blue twice, then:
Left stack: Flash green once to indicate the motor has power.
Right stack: Flash green twice to indicate the motor has power.
Check that the batteries in the battery wand are correctly inserted and
are fresh.
Check that the power source is securely connected to the power cable and the
cables are not pinched or caught in the headrail or installation brackets. If you
have the rechargeable battery wand, check to see that the battery wand is
correctly positioned in the mount.
Problem
The shade is operating slowly or does not traverse completely.
Solution
The batteries may be low in the battery wand. Replace the batteries.
Check that the power source is securely connected to the power cable and the
cables are not pinched or caught in the headrail or installation brackets.
The shade may need to be reset. Refer to “Resetting the Shade” on page 45.
